Select/Layer HELP?

I can’t figure out what I’ve done. I originally had layers on the bottom right box, however I was messing around and believe I created some sort of mask...lost my original layer, and now the bottom right box only shows select and not layer. How can I get it back to layer(s)? Sorry if I’m not very tech savvy, but I could use anyone’s help!

Had a issue involving my Layer navigation being totally gone found that you can reset all tool fields by going into the tab Window selecting first option Workspace and then select Reset Palette Locations. that brought back my Layer Tool for me. Hope this works for you Risa Smiles
