Making money fast

Okay, does anyone have an easy way to make money in this game?
I've got a C5 repair systems BP which costs more to produce than it is to buy or sell.
In EM, one could make a C5 Fulcrum device to make money with just Hydrogen cells to start off, but in this, I'm creeping by making 12K from each stack of Diamonds after 2 hours.

What do?

Check other systems for good places to sell those diamonds. Some places will pay over 30k for a stack.

Also if you're mining do what you can to get 10 bays going ASAP. You don't need secondary weapons, plating,energy cores, and frankly lame crew that can only give you bearing/pitch directions...lol, altough I guess the Science officer will help you mine faster. Make that thing a flying rock trailer and double your income.

I've been mining and taking contracts when I find one that's decent paying. As my civic rank increases, these contracts seem to pay more too. Got one last night for a simple delivery run that was a little over 100k. Those can add up pretty quickly.

I took missions in the Saphire system at the station in the nebula cloud.While flying to the asteroid field since your jump drive will not work in the electric storm I use my fuel converter to fill up my 1000 fuel tank.Once I get back I usually recieve about 150k for my fuel and another 100k for the mission and then sell the other minerals I mined.I agree you should have at least 5 if not 8 cargo bays.

You can sell fuel? That's a trick I never found.
