Cockpit changes ?
Hi everyone,
I've managed to buy a nice new frame for my ship.
I started with the "Talon" frame and replaced it with the "Arrow" one, and for some reason it didn't change the cockpit interior (As if I was still using the "Talon" frame).
I checked in the shipyard and indeed the frame was installed, so I wondered, is the cockpit interior changing when changing frames ? Is there only one cockpit for every frame ? Is this just a bug ?
I love this game and I must admit that it was a bit frustrating to keep the same cockpit after changing frame.
Thank you in advance for your answers :-)

Hi LordAmaury. Glad you're enjoying the game. There are two global cockpits in the game, one for civilian ships and another for military ships. In the past, I've considered whether to just render the HUD and displays only (which there is still such an option for those interested), but decided to at least include modular cockpit structures based on civ/mil frame types. As a side option for modders, the game does support individual cockpits based on specific frames for custom designs.

Edit: With the introduction of version 2.0308, a range of new cockpits have been added for both civilian and military ships to provide more variety.

Best workaround is a custom frame cockpit mod. The only cockpit mod out there worth using is Perch, which would tie in well with any "small" ship.

I'm glad you included them. I'm definitely a "cockpit player", it remember's me old space shooters from the 90's and I like them for immersion :-)

Thank you for your answer, I'll look how to install it this weekend, I found a link on the website forum, I hope I will not break anything :-)

Its Not Much So The Cockpit It Self , its Great !! Maybe Having A Simple Texture Map That Can Override Default ...Without Having To make File Changes ...You Tell Us The Exact Texture File Format and Size , We Make Them in Our Own Editor and Then Load It ..its Only Textures Not any of The Readouts , Or Screens
