What is the point of blue coins?

I understand that they're there to bet against other people but what's the upside of having them? I can't find anything in the store that costs blue coins so it's basically a useless currency.

Yea see that's what I thought, but if it's only for bets it's kind of useless.. They need to make it a little useful so you have incentive to get more, most games that rely heavily on real money via microtransactions have a good chunk of their inventory with real money and about 20% with game money, plus if you grind hard enough the possibility to get some of the real money stuff with ingame money. The 2 best examples are brawlhalla and Rift.
