Main differences are that you can rebuy other players' properties, you can try (with a bit of luck too) to influence the dice roll, and some ways to increase the rent on your properties (more than houses and hotels.
Actually, the biggest part is that even if you think you're done, you still can win. And that is way different than Monopoly.
What I am missing though is a visual indication that shows who bought which city (like Monopoly games usually have).
Thanks!
Do Microtransactions have an effect though? What you're saying sounds like someone could pay to say 'Influence the dice roll', is that the case?
You can use Microtransactions if you want, but everything you can buy can be obtain through the game.
With Microtransactions you can buy Gold. With that Gold, you can either buy chips (used as a bet to enter online tables) or bonuses (also known as gadgets - those gadgets can influence the dice roll among other things)
BUUUT, when playing for the first time, you get 5000 chips (that's 50 100 bet table games if you loose all the games), but since you get chips daily for logging in, so you should literally never be out of chips.
Also, you have 5 daily tasks you can complete by playing online games:
- If you complete 3 tasks, you get a gift. Those gifts contain chips and gadgets. Every 5 gifts you'll get will be golden, that means you'll get even more chips and gadgets!
- If you manage to complete the 5 tasks, then you get a lot of extra chips too!
So yes, there are Microtransactions, but you won't be penalized for not using them!
Hope that helps :D
Actually, it's widely considered P2W if you can get an immediate advantage. If you can influence dice rolls for example with a premium currency, it would be P2W regardless of wether you can earn said currency in-game by playing or not, most people would still call it P2W.
But, i have read an answer from the dev themselves on another post mentioning that there is a "No Gadgets" mode, so basically no matter what you can do with those gadgets, it wouldn't matter as there's a mode specifically without them, so you don't have to worry either way i suppose.
- Quick game, that brings the timer to 15min instead of 30;
- 2x2, to play, well, 2vs2;
- No gadgets, that sets a more conventional game.
Perfect, looking forward to giving the game a try then!
