So getting the water soon screws me over?

I got to use 3 water cups before getting my third party member and they started off with 100 will, while the first two have 175 now. Do I have to try finding the last one before continuing to drink water?

apparently so, and I think it applies to meat as well. good think the game isn't that long so that there aren't large consequences, plus the end boss is beatable without struggle if you're mindful of your equipment

Just spam mystic meat all game. You'll never lose. Pretty sure the game can be beaten without using the meat grinder or the water coolers. Maybe there's a cool hidden ending? I wouldn't know.

it's optimal to get every character in your party before drinking water, grinding meat, or learning skills from tvs (those aren't permanently missable, but it is a slog to run back to a bunch of tvs you've already been to just because pongorma doesn't know how to detonate yet). i wouldn't sweat it though, because doing things 100% optimal is 0% necessary to complete the game, combat is not very difficult at all
