Hylics

Is there any way to play this unstreched whilst in fullscreen mode?
The title says it all. I has been bugging me for quite a while now.
Btw, I'd like a solution not only for this game, but for RPG maker games in general if possible. I hate not playing them in proper 4:3.

Edit: Nevermind, I got it. I won't delete this, since someone can find it useful.
I went on my graphics card control panel (mine's a NVIDIA one) and once there I went for Display>Adjust desktop size>Aspect Ratio>Perform Scaling on> and then toggle "GPU" instead of "video".
It worked wonders not only for RPG Maker games, but for ScummVM and DOSBox games as well!

for anyone wondering how to do this on systems with amd gpus:
-open amd radeon software
-settings cog at the top right
-display
-enable gpu scaling
-set scaling mode to "preserve aspect ratio"
-enable integer scaling

How exactly did you get it into full screen to begin with? I used F1 and checked the box to start up the game in full screen and relaunched it in every way possible, including big picture mode and nothing will change. I'm not sure what to do about it at this point. I tried alt enter as well because it works on some other games but this one just freezes when I do. If anyone can help, it would be very much appreciated, thank you.

You sir are a saint! I am eternally grateful that you posted this and kept it up in case it helped others; it did! Not only did it fix the issue I was having with Hylics, it fixed the "Input Not Supported" error for all the old Dosbox games that stopped working when I got new monitors! I was never sure if it was the new monitors or the fact that I have dual screen now but this fixed it, thank you :)

It's possible OP's fix is just as good and quicker than mine, but if you've tried the method in OP and still cannot get it full screen, without flickers and in the 4:3 ratio, check out my post under the "OS Compatibility" thread, pinned in the general discussion topic. I walk through how to get the game working flawlessly.
