Escaping from Ship

So I got to the part when I got out of Wall Cloud. Tong mentioned you can escape by going to maintenance ladder to the west but I don't see anything to the west of the ship? Maybe I'm just a bit too tired.

Go as far north as you can along the dock. There is a sign that says "maintenance" next to the doorway, so it shouldn't be hard to find.

At the west end of the dock is a door with a green sign next to it that says "No Authorized Personal." Go in the door and immediately turn right to see the ladder going up. If you get to the sign that says "Crane Control" you've gone to far. (Its easy to miss when charging around with the sirens going off and everything about to blow up.)
