Yes (Spoilers)

There are many hidden levers and maze-like corridors. All for a stinking sword. Not worth the pain.

Hint: The Cross

How do you even get inside the chapel? I can't find the key.

Ah ok I see now, thank you. The swords base dmg is better than the Dragon's tooth, so why is it a bad reward ?

Key is in a hole in the dumpster near the gatekeeper's house.

When you just climb out of the water there's a hole in the wall where the coffin has been removed. On the back of that wall is the lever that opens the gate.

you can obtain both cannisters using just 3 supply crates, make sure you crawl to cans on height of two boxes

It's useful for more-consistently taking out commandos than the DTS. However, with the much larger base damage, one would expect to be able to break down doors that would normally require explosives. However, even with max low-tech and combat strength aug, the best you can destroy are 40min doors. That's probably why it's kind of a letdown.
