There are many hidden levers and maze-like corridors. All for a stinking sword. Not worth the pain.
Hint: The Cross
Key is in a hole in the dumpster near the gatekeeper's house.
It's useful for more-consistently taking out commandos than the DTS. However, with the much larger base damage, one would expect to be able to break down doors that would normally require explosives. However, even with max low-tech and combat strength aug, the best you can destroy are 40min doors. That's probably why it's kind of a letdown.
