Btw: you can change music, and models in menu.
Revision is good, get over yourself. ;)
Especially with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lightbulbs.
That's just, like, your opinion, man.
I'm talking about Sqeenix that publish your stuff. Take a look at Thief, Hitman and all the other franchises they've ruined.
Deus Ex IP belongs to SE, and look what happened. I'd rather play an old DS with mods than this thing with mutators called "modifiers".
You're absolutely right. At first revision looks like a cool mod but then you wonder why it got on Steam and not gmdx which is an objectively better remaster mod in every way.
There's almost no dark areas in the entire game so sneaking around is relatively pointless and impossible. The broken Ai and imbalance game mechanics are still prevalent and actually even worse because they've been shoved into completely redesigned levels without any changes to pathing or alert response. Gmdx fix is the only problem with Deus ex 1: the unbalanced gameplay
Well, I had no issue to sneak around for the majority of the game... (only got a few missions left to do.) Sure I had to knock out a few enemies here and there but sneaking around still made life insanely easier. I have no idea why you are saying it is "pointless" or "impossible". You just need to be more creative with your approach.
I do admit I lost patience and went gun blazing with about 2 areas in the game. But, that's just like 2 maps... Rest was fine and stealth helped a lot.
My opinion might change with the later maps but so far I've seen nothing that warrants insulting the devs' work like the post you quoted. Even if you do not like it you should at least respect the amount of work that went into this.
GMDX is still my favourite mod but I've played Deus Ex so much over the years I know the maps like the back of my ass (Well, most of them. Especially the early game). Revision, while not perfect, gave me something new to chew on. For that alone, I am grateful.
