Stuck with the wrong aug, no way to change it?

So this is the first time for me ever playing Deus Ex 1 and I mistakenly chose the wrong aug (combat strength, not microforbal muscle), something I realized at full in Chapter 4. There is a couple of times during my playthrough that I've noticed that I REALLY need this aug to be able to enter places, especially now when I need to enter the captured NSF base. I know there's other ways into places etc but I just want to be able to climb those damn boxes...... it's just a couple of extra centimeters ffs

I'm doomed since the augs are permanent, yes? This is ruining the game for me :(

Unless you are playing on Biomod the augs are permanent. You could ofc cheat to remove an aug and add a new one.

I'll gladly cheat if it saves the game for me, and I already activated the console and read how to add a new aug. How do I remove the one I have?

Ok so my normal saves don't work with shifter? ♥♥♥♥ it then, ill return to this game in a couple of years... when i'm willing to start anew. outdated design choice to lock your augs imo..

Lol? Since when is it outdated to make your choices matter xD

man, i'm just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bummed that I have to restart after playing 10 hours for such a minor thing. I really wanted to finish it for once. and I had no idea a nano-aug is _PERMANENT_ or that there is NO other way to be able to move boxes THROUGHOUT the whole game after one choice in the first level (when you pick up the upgrade). 10 hours later, wtf? it's just that I've noticed maybe 3-4 times already where being able to move boxes wouldve saved me a lot of hassle and i'm not stoked for more situations like that.

I've googled multiple times and didnt find help, can you share? augs cant be changed/removed after choosing one it seems, only with shifter which locks out my normal saves. so again, ♥♥♥♥ it.

that said, ill prob play with shifter next time I guess.

I don't remember any commands that REMOVE augs, only to add ones to existing slots. Sorry
