You can destroy a piece of a wall to reveal a tunnel that you can crawl through. I think it's to the right of the door that you entered, if you face away from that door.

(And no, you can't get those augmentation upgrade canisters. They're just bait.)

EDIT: If you meant you need help getting all the way back to the surface, then Hawk's achievement guide has a walkthrough for that in the guide for the "Unearthed Horrors" achievement.

Actually you CAN get one of the canisters, I was able to after a dozen or so tries yesterday. I had Speed Enhancement at max level though - it's probably not possible without that.
