cant load hte game. i that the titled error.

i have tried both open gl and direct x and both hte audio options

Do you have the original Deus Ex GOTY installed in the same location as Revision?

I just got this same error. I don't have Deus Ex GOTY installed.

Apparently that was the issue. I installed Deux Ex and now Revision runs.

This is a common problem but the solution is quite simple:

1) Right-click the game title on your Library screen
2) Select Properties on the menu that pops up
3) Select the Local Files tab on the next menu
4) Select "Verify Integrity of Local Files" on the final menu

That will take a few minutes but should fix the problem.

Well, that's no longer needed now. The problem was that 1.3 shipped with a faulty configuration file that made the mod unable to detect Deus Ex GOTY. For some reason verifying the files somehow mysteriously fixed the configuration file. Since 1.3.0.1 this has been fixed, so nobody should need to verify files anymore.

However this error also comes up (as it should) if the base game is not installed in the same location as Revision. As a mod it's required that you have the original game installed.
