Quiplash not loading

Hi Guys,

We were just playing the party box 1 and 2 with a group of 7. All games worked like a charm aside from Quiplash. The introduction worked fine and it showed the connected players, but after that nothing loaded besides a semi-black screen. Music kept on playing and I was able to navigate back to the menu with the keyboard. Was playing on a Mac with Yosemite 10.10.5.

Anyone that is familiar with the issue?

I've been having this issue too and tbh it's the major reason I picked up The Jackbox Party Pack 2, glad to hear some people have had some sort of success with workarounds cause it'd be a real shame if I couldn't get this great game to work properly. :(

Just want to add another name to the list of those having issues with Quiplash - only this game for some reason seems to be about 50/50 whether it'll get past the intro screen or just black screen. Typically I have to restart computer to get it to load but even then it's only that first time - if I load another game first and then Quiplash - it blackscreens again and I have to restart computer again.

PC or Mac?

I have this problem at the moment. I can't play Quiplash at all on Jackbox Party Games 2. It black screens after everyone loads in and is given the introduction. The music still continues and I can still see the audience code in the corner. I restart my computer and it doesn't work. I'm on PC Windows 10.

We cant reproduce this issue consistently so it's tough to fix something like this but we are trying. We had this issue happen once and a simple exit of the pack fixed it. If you guys can give us any info that helps, please let us know.

What type of setup you running?
Were you playing another game and then went to Quiplash?

Last week I tried 2 other identical pc's (Win7 ?? bit and probably Intel onboard graphics).
Quiplash Worked fine!
I have yet to try the 'original' problematic pc's again, but I will get back to you as soon as I have the chance.

Some FYI. I had this exact problem happening to me - black background and freeze, restarting the game would resolve the issue. This happened to me on a Windows 7 PC. I've recently upgraded to Windows 10 and the game now works on the first try.

Obviously not a solution for users, but hopefully a clue for the devs.

aaaand today I had the possibility of trying the game on one of the pc's that worked earlier.
Nothing worked! The game loaded up the starting 'pick your game'-screen, but I could do nothing but just press ESC to exit the game.
I tried reinstalling everything, but to no avail :/

I got all my friends around. Told them to charge their phones. Got it all set up. Pizza ready. Planning for a week. Black screen. Reset, no good. Reinstall, no good. Alienware pc. Sort it out please, it's been a month since this incident. Anyways, my friends have since left me and I'm left playing solitare for the rest of my life. Always at the point of everyone signing on...all set, go! Black screen... Yawn!! Been following this for ages and no improvement :( ALSO PLEASE WHEN WE RESTART A MATCH WITH THE SAME PLAYERS, WHY DO YOU FORCE THE TUTORIALS ON US?! Skip buttons please!!
