Why no multiplayer?
Sick of online betting houses being the only way to play cards with friends across the country!

+1. This opportunity was so obvious that it was practically begging to be noticed.
It's odd that they don't have any sort of online support. I had the first or second version of Hoyle Board Games ages ago, and even THAT had this cool mid-'90s tier online play.

Table Top Simulator.

I tried table top simulator, but I want it a little more "ready to play" than TTS. Hell, a nice World Series of Poker multiplayer game would be awesome.

Thanks for the suggestion on the Multiplayer :)

Honestly I could throw this together in game maker and make a multiplayer open card game system that auto deals, shuffle, etc. With rules and variables you could set. Or load presets to play whatever you want. Sort of like TTS but with more direct gameplay where you don't have to micro manage anything. Like fliping or placing cards and crap like that.
Wouldn't have npc's though. That's a whole other monster with AI.
Will look into it for a side project I might throw on greenlight. If greenlight still exists by then.

Unless of course the developer here throws it in this product. Would certainly be good enough for a relaunch at some point I would think.
Maybe that's their plan. More reasons to put it on a feature page. ;)

On a side note, when we created the 2009 version of Hoyle Card games and Casino Games we had a online feature called Royal Suite where players could play against each other. Would be interesting to gather more feedback about multiplayer from our fans. It's something that sounds nice and we could probably do that eventually but do need more feedback from fans before such is implemented.

Really if it were me I would relaunch this after plugging in a LAN and/or old school TCPIP option. That would let us host our own games and you wouldn't need servers running or anything on your end.
Maybe implement the Steam multiplayer system to invite friends that way directly over our friend list.

Then that opens the door to for a 2pack deal with a small % off for 2. Sometimes people pay more and buy that anyway just to have an extra copy to trade with later. I would be all over this in that case and buying up 2 to 3 packs to play with family and friends. People love bundles.

I think it would help tilt the reviews more to the positive side if my marketing sense has any value. Especially because people inherently think card games = multiplayer.

Just my two cents.

Sounds like a great idea. I feel the same way when I shop at the store, you buy more and save money. Makes perfect sense. :polarbear:

Thank you for responding! I play a lot of Poker Night 2, and I always find myself wanting that interaction with my friends, ideally through voice chat, but we can take care of that through Teamspeak. Any sort of multiplayer like this would get me to buy, as well as many of mmy friends, who woudl rather do this than do a poker night somewhere.

+1 on using the Steamworks multiplayer backend. Makes it real easy to invite friends and can also be used for browsing available games to join.

(Reposting until the company 'gets it')

Must-have!

+Online Multiplayer like your epic 2002 website use to have!!
+Character creator
+Steam Trading Cards, Emoticons (make them look AMAZING!), Backgrounds
+Make incredible-looking game badges for users to show off on their profiles of your game.
+Steam Achievements (make them fun!)
+All games wanted, including your Board & Card Games franchise

If you don't incl. these features, your game is sh!t and pointless to buy, therefore will be dead on Steam. Tnx for being proactive asking what players REALLY want in order to part with their money and fall back in love with your company's products like we loved the website back in 2002.

I didn't know not having AMAZING emoticons makes a game ♥♥♥♥ and pointless to buy. I'll have to keep that in mind.
