Everything is in my Discord for Lords of The Realm 2 feel free to join it.
I have mods, patches, and even a mod manager for the game.

I have had every one of, every thinkable game start issue with this game. I own the CD version and also purchased the Steam version with identical issues
6 different PC's - LOTR runs on XP/Vista, with nVidia graphics cards on 3 diff PC's(Auto detects graphic settings)
3 other PC's - LOTR does not run on ATI cards, nor ATI Radeon HD on Mobo.
Cause of blackscreen, missing colors and CTD: graphics settings not recognized.
SOLUTION for win 10 users
Find the L2Launcher exe. file in Documents/This PC/C drive/Program files(x86)/Steam/SteamApps/Common folder/Lords of the Realm ll/English/Lords of the Realm ll/Launcher/LOTR2Launcher -> Right click the LOTR2Launcher file and select properties. Win 10 gives you the option to run graphics troubleshooting. Win 10 will automatically detect and set up this launcher and you can test it before accepting the set up.
Once you have a solution click on "next". Now, you must make a new desktop icon for this Steam LOTR2Launcher file and delete the old Desktop icon. This lets you click and play from the Desktop, so you don't have to go through several folders to find it.
It works flawlessly!
Thanks, it worked... parcially.
Now I have a windowed mode, but I'm unable to modify the screen resolution.
No matter how I try to change the screen res (1024x768, 1360x768), no matter the other options I press (custom res, fix aspect ratio, 16:9, native res, etc.), the game is still locked in a tiny 4:3 window and with the same (low) res.
The result is a window too small to play in my 3840x2160 TV.
Any tip to fix this? Thanks in advance.
What brought me here was a problem I've had for years with the game on the latest versions of Windows, for quite some time now: the edges of the game's screen are larger than the limits of my TV, even though it's 40 inches and 3840x2160.
As a result, the information in the right column is partially cut off, the top menu of the game is inaccessible and I can barely access the endturn button below and to the right of the screen.
Now, with this solution, for the first time in years I can see the entire game, with the edges of the game perfectly aligned with those of my TV, but this game window is stuck at a very small 4:3 size, as I reported in the previous post.
Hundreds of attempts and this crap keeps happening, ONLY on Steam. I am switching to Gog.com from this point on - at least, everything works perfect on Gog
