Can't bind the mouse click or use it for look around? I think I can see why the game fourms is not exploding with fans. In fsp games rebinding of keys and mouse is importaint. For example..
I use directional keys, because I have a desktop like 90% of PC gammers, not a laptop, and the use of the mouse is for looking around and looking up and down, see? And for me left click fires and right click jump.
So.... by this, there is just no way I am going to go around a place and have no way to look up or down or the ability to bind my key board jump to my mouse click instead. I will never buy a game like that. I do not have a X-Box controller, then again, I do not have a X-Box. So I am not getting the controller..
I personal think it be in your best intresst in re-evaluating the choices you made that control what is in the game.. Even Left 4 Dead dosen't work that way. This is a player problem because it renders our free movment to pointless. I would re-think about the mouse usage...
Get the game Call Of Duty and use the same use key set you have for your game and see how far you get... And IF the mouse issue was a problem you couldin't resolve, maybe you should have re-think the game lay out. Because from what I saw, I would have bought it, but now I see this post, I am glade I didn't. I flip out if that mouse failed to function like it should... demanding a re-fund and everything...
That said, the default Unity keybinding system seems to work alright, and Dbeer21 was good enough to include all commands in the Unity keybinder so they could be rebound (some Unity gamemakers don't even bother to do that).
I also play with jump bound to the right mouse button (a habit which gives away my age, I guess). The default Unity keybinder is quirky in that to bind mouse keys, you have to click the mouse cursor inside the box that pops up with the "press the button you wish to bind to this command" text. It can be done, it's just not very intuitive.
