Sorry to hear this. Please could you post your issue also on the Slitherine Technical Support forum which gets looked at more often by the technical support guys.

In the meantime my 2 cents worth is as follows:

Go to your STEAM libary. R-click on Sengoku Jidai in the games list. Select Properties, then Local Content, then Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

If necessary you may need to select Delete Local Game Content and redownload the game.

However that only deletes the game's STEAM folders, so if that does not resolve the issue, you can try deleting the contents of \My Documents\My Games\SJIDAI and trying the game again.

yeah it didn't work verify, deleteing content/redownloading or deleting the my document folder.

still not working SJIDAI.EXE - Fatal application exit. Same error report except exp address: 0x004904FD now.

It's better if you open a thread on the Slitherine forum and add a DxDiag report

How to get a DxDiag report file:

1. Click on "START" (on Windows 8/10 press “Windows key” and the “R” key at the same time)
2. Click "run" (skip this step on Windows 8/10)
3. Type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. Check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. Click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice
6. Attach the file to your message

Open the Nvidia Control Panel and find the Manage 3D Settings. Change, in both Global and Program, the Preferred Graphics Processor to High Performance NVIDIA Processor.

Changed and i still get the same error. redownloaded game and still no change goes directly back to the error screen. side note: screen stopped blinking forcing me to restart computer every time.
