What is the best magic type?
Frost magic? Shaman magic? Black magic?

I havn't really gotten into magic yet so what do you guys think is the best magic? Could any of you even give a brief rundown on what makes each school of magic good or bad?

Dual wielding lighnting wands is pretty cool. I also like the Scythe as once you kill an enemy with it, the enemy becomes a lost soul on your side.

Sycthe sounds like Black Magic, yeah? I might get into that - I tried to summon a few Reapers for kicks and giggles one game but they disappeared into the giant enemy horde and I have no idea how good they are.

I picked druidic. beacuse its linked to lightning and ice magic its okey offence and you got some slow with ice.

Aynyone tried chaos magic?

Chaos burns your Mana like crazy but deals alot of damage. If you have Mana Elixiers on mass, this will be most destructive against single Targets.

For myself, i play a Light Mage. You have a good Range with it, Abilitys to buff, Heal and protect and all of your Projectiles are homing. But the Damage is most likely the lowest of all magics...i didn't test it very much.

Nice, is there another way to heal conscriped units other then healing spirits. (it keep saying there are too many summons already so i cant use it.)

The ice septer is a nice one too, making 6 (or if you pick the rings too) 8 ice bolts that home in to mobs. and if the mob dies befor they hit somthing they wil arc in to other mobs.
Its easy to get kills with it for the kill a 1000 zombies achievement.

I don't think there is another way of healing your units, but its a waste anyway because you can produce 'em like crazy.

Most of the time i'm healing my Villagers, so they stand on a tower or enemy longer.
And yea Ice Bolts are nice for crushing enemies but for a Masskill, i prefer Fire i would say.
But for that count the same, that counts for everything: it depends on your Playstyle and your Favorites. Also combinations work very good, like Ice Rings for slowing a Target and the Light Mage Equip for a Ton of Magic Bullets.

The scroll to summon Reapers is actually pretty good - get enough parchment to summon 3-4 of them and have a golem tank most of the enemies and soon you'll have a swarm Lost Souls fighting for you as well!

Really builds up and steamrolls when the Reapers make enough Lost Souls.

After reading this, i add a "blind effect" to light magic. (-50% to attack for 5 secondes)

Good idea and sort of logical for Light Mage. LIKE! :3

hi there, long ago but i use frost for the moment i checked that i do more damage with only the 2handed staff without damage ring and amu from the druid, why the mainhand damage is reducesd if u use more damage things ?

Your 'attack score' is divided between your attacks.
For example, with 100 points in your 'attack score' and 100 points in 'weapon bonus':
- if you have 1 attack, you have 100 points + 'weapon bonus'. (ex: 200pts)
- if you have 2 attacks, you have 50 points + 'weapons bonus'. (ex: 150 / 150 pts)
- with 3 attacks : (133 / 133 / 133)
...

In the next update, magics will be rebalanced. Damages will depend on attack type and resistance ot the target:

For example:
Golems, buildings and undeads are 'death' resistant.
Wooden buildings and armors are vulnerable to 'fire' magic.
Undeads are vulnerable to 'light' magic.
Metallic armors and golem are vulnerable to 'electricity'. Wooden armors are resistant to 'electricity'.

Oh I see. Okay, I can roll with that but don't make it too complex or hard to understand!

Will this new information be displayed in game?

Damages and resistances will be displayed ingame:
