In the process of working on my upcoming title, Closed Circuit: Recursive Idle (Wishlist on Steam) I learned a lot about User Experience, User Interface, and general ways that a game can be made better. So, as Closed Circuit is winding down development, I wanted to hop back into Everslide and put some of those lessons into action. Hopefully the game experience is much improved.

In the process of doing this rework, I realized this was shaping up to be rather significant in size. And so, I wanted to add in some features that were cut from the original game, and overall bring Everslide into what I now understand it should have been when it was released. So, I ended up with what I am calling Everslide 2.0.

• Main Menu has been completely redesigned and more easily usable for both Keyboard/Mouse, Controller, and Touch-Screen users. Game Modes grouped in a Game Mode area.

• Settings Menu has been entirely recreated..)

• Visual Features (board building animation) that were removed for launch have been reimplemented and made more efficient.

• Level Generation has been revamped to be more consistent. A new, 2-wide block-type puzzle has been implemented. Non-square puzzles have been implemented.

• There is now a set of 1024 puzzles that are consistent across players. Once completing these puzzles you will unlock "Endless Mode", where new puzzles are generated as you reach them. I did this in order to bring a players a consistent set of puzzles, while also living up to the "Ever" in Everslide.

• In-Game UI has been majorly updated to reflect more up to date design sensibilities.

• Nearly all art assets have been updated or completely replaced.

• Achievements have been completely revamped to reflect new modes.

• All Achievements have been given a visual do-over.

• Tutorial has been expanded to incorporate new gameplay elements.

• Various QOL additions.
