Multiplayer Garage Bug
I just tried the game with a friend in split screen mode (we both use steam controllers). Sadly choosing our cars in the garage between races was practically impossible. When we enter the garage player 1 can customize his car just fine, but after he confirms and the view has switched to player 2 all the button prompts vanish and neither the button presses of player 2 nor of any other player do anything. This happens 9 out of 10 times and each time forces us to kill the game and restart to even continue playing as were stuck in that menu.

for info the controllers work fine during the actual race. I think it might be connected to the fact that in the menus only player 1 can interact and it might most of the time not manage to activate the player 2 controller when it is actually needed in the garage. Just a guess.

So splitscreen is nice, not being able to choose cars is not so nice.

Temporary Compromise/Mini Solution???

If this happens after playing a race together, before you go to the garage or select a new map, exit all the way out to the main menu, then go back into split screen, and after another race, do it again.

If this happens before playing a race, i'm not too sure. That hasn't happened to me.

Hello,

I am having the same issue. When I enter split-screen mode with a second player, the second player cannot access the garage to customize their own car. I'm using two controllers. I've used a combination of two PS4 controllers, and a steel series stratus duo wireless.

Can't seem to reproduce this. Here's an example of what we see. Can customize both player cars just fine:

Are you able to record video?

Hi!

Thank you for getting back to me. Apologies for the late reply! It was on my end. I recently reinstalled the game and gave it another look. I realized in the video that I wasn't paying attention to the bottom right corner in garage mode, which let me know it was "2nd player."

I didn't realize that hitting "save" switched over to the second player. My bad! Thank you for clearing things up. I'll have to invite my friends over to give this another go once this pandemic is over. Cheers!
