Handbrake and Drift improvements ?
Hi all,

I find this game really very awesome ! It's a mix between so many games I love.
I was trying to get all the orbs in the playground map (and I did), and after 2 hours of test, I found some possible improvements :

- Make the Handbrake more reactive. For now, there is almost 1 second between the instant I press the button, and the time the wheels stops to turn. Would it be much better that it is instant ?
-This point is the logical follow from the first point. The Drift handling will be greatly improved with this. And maybe make the car more sliding while trying to drift ? I find the cars very hard to control... Like a boat in a tarpit. Anyone think like me ?

I agree with the vehicle being hard to control.

Hey guys

If anything, people are saying the cars control much better now, but it appears for you that is not the case.

Have you tried setting engine power to low in the setup screen before a race?

Also, there are steering speed and sensitivity settings in the menu. I suggest setting speed to high and sensitivity to low for a gamepad and speed to low and sensitivity to low for keyboard control.

As for drifting and physics in general, they are still a work in progress, so nothing is final yet!

Oh sorry, I wouldn't offense you. I simply gave my opinion about the driving. I tried all options available :)
I play a lot of driving simulation games (pCARS, Assetto Corsa, Forza, Gran Turismo...) and arcade style driving games (Need For Speed, The Crew...). I bought GRIP few days ago, so I can't appreciate the progresses made since the first build. But good luck for the future !!!

PS: This game waits a little nervousness touch ^^ (Yeah Wipeout, I'm looking at you... ^^)

Sorry to hear you have such a hard time controlling the car. Like I said, we're still working on it, so hopefully you'll find the game easier to play later on

my first impressions of the game are quite good, i'm looking forward to get my hands on the campaign and i hope there will be a lot of people online in the multiplayer but i also want the cars to drift more when handbraking. So we could have tracks that have large curves to drift through between the tunnels, do you know what i mean? Well, i guess it won't make it into the game anymore so close to publishment...
