Edit: Since T7 / T8 the KI seems to loose the Rubber banding. even if they are 1500m in front of me and i drive good they make nearly zero mistakes and dont drive slower.
1: Simulator -> i dont like these.
2: Boring easy.
and i have to say it feels nice intigrated in Grip. If I drive bad and are around 2-3kilometers behind it seems that he crashes more often.
Until around 1 Kilometer he is back to his good driving KI. So i have to drive good -> realy good to catchup.
If im ahead of him I can outdrive the Oppenent by driving perfect with boostluck + 90% of the speedpats. On T7 I managed to get 2 free big crashes without losing the first place.
For me this seems to be a fair and not too heavy Rubber banding. Just enough to give you the feel of an intense race.
Duels are a little tougher beacuase you only have 1 opponent. He can blast you like you can blast him very often. spare some good items for the last 30 seconnds.
Speed duels .... :D yea now you just have to learn the track.
I love the game. <3 <3 <3 and im sorry for my broken English.
Have fun

It's either condescendingly easy or it has the AI just asspulling stupid speeds to cheat and win.
Seems like the devs have attempted to fill in for their lacking AI by just relying on rubberbanding.
At any rate, the catch-up system has received some tweaks for next update!
