Dualshock 4 (PS4 Controller) not properly recognized
Hey, I wanted to play the game with my Dualshock 4 controller which is connected via USB and works perfectly fine with Rocket League for example. But here I'm having a hard time to get it working. What's the trick or does it just not work?

You have to use either DS4Windows or the Steam controller driver (which I use myself and highly recommend). GRIP does not support the DS4 out of the box (yet?).
