Can i Powerslide / Drift ?

I know the game is about GRIP, but it feels on many tracks that i should be able to slide my way around corners sometimes, but instead i end up slowing down massively instead or come to a stop to tackle some corners.

Is there away to Drift in this game ?

yup, by playing a bit with the brake and the handbrake

i can't for my life get it to work. I just end up slowing down to a near stop. I drift in pCar2, Forza and all that so im no stranger to Drifting but i just can't get it to work at all in this game :-(

it needs a bit of practice, the last Yuri turn is pretty good for training ;)

Can you drift whole "speedbowl" turn? Pretty sure that is what DERP want to achieve.


Coz all i can get from "tapping hand brake" is a slight turning radius decrease and a slowdown that immediately kills momentum and makes further drifting impossible.

The only time i can "drift" is when i get hit by Charged Hydra.

Its a combat racer to be fair, if people are looking for drifting games they may be better off looking else where. (not trying to be rude here)

Basically, I was really hoping to pull off some long smooth drifts while maintaining speed for some of the tight corners as it feels like my vehicle can’t make the turns without slowing all the way down to a near stop ☹

totally agree i get it, but in many corners even on first stages you can't really make the turns well. I have no idea what im doing wrong but something feels off. It just feels like i'm meant to drift into these turns. But instead i have to come to a near stop in order to make them instead.

haha, thats whats happening all the time tho lol. Its like the car just can't turn at speeds....at all for me. I tried using KB as well and the same thing is happening. The car just does not want to make any turns at all.

But if i hit something small or clip something really small i go FLYING with no control what so ever to right my self. Something just does not add up for me in the game :-(

like its super heavy on the Understeer

Dunno...I have no problem with turns....But cars in GRIP dont drift much, yes.


Maybe later Developers will introduce car with super low Grip level....and what you desire will be possible....

i just wish i can make turns in this game lol.I don't want it to handly like a rally car but this game has sooooo much Understeer I can't make any turns without slowly down to a stop....or hitting the walls lol. If it had more oversteer feedback to drift a little it would help loads.
