Importing characters

Hello, I was wondering, if I have Arcania retail version, that cannot be activated in steam, can I import my characters from the retail version (not activated in steam) to Fall of Setarrif in Steam?

I should imagine you can, it just involves files which will be named the same in both retail and digital forms of the games.
