Mouse flickering causing lag?

I noticed that the mouse cursor flickers between the game cursor and windows cursor. I also noticed that this seems to cause a lag in the menus and in the game itself. Any fix? thanks

I didn't encountered this problem till now.
Question, what Windows do you use?
Also have you tried to close all the backgroups apps? Maybe some of them may create some kind of conflict.

I am using windows 7 64 bit. Yes, all I have running is steam and the game.

I have that problem too. At first I thought I have a problem related to the use of only one core of CPU by the game like some guys say in forums but later I realized the game only lagged when the mouse fliks. I can play "normally" using a gamepad so the cursor is showed less often but sometimes it appears out of the blue and makes me lost my cool.

I haven't actually tried playing it with a gamepad. I'll give it a shot and if it plays better then I'll just use that from now on. Kind of lame though, I actually thought that the keyboard and mouse controls were pretty solid for this game.

Yeah, it works!

Now the game uses the white windows cursor instead of change between the game cursor and windows cursor. At least now I can play without "cursor lag".
Nice tip. I hope no more problems arise and enjoy the game.
