360 Gamepad

There used to be a few locations that had the instructions on how to enable full 360 pad support... Even in the menus. All those links are now dead though. Could I bother someone to post the file needed and instructions?

Im not sure if you found it, but I think this is what you were looking for.
I was looking to enable the Y invert axis on the gamepad.

I will link the URL, Its clean, its just Gamefaqs page (as you can see in the name)

Seriously is there no way to invert my 360 controller on the PC version?
Or change the buttons for that matter, who the hell jumps with B button? Anyone know if I can go into a file and modify buttons somehow, the most important being the option to invert the camera and bow controls, I am shocked they did not include the option as it is standard in every PC game known to man.



yeah you can change ..... go to :

my docs/ArcaniA - Gothic 4/InputSettings.xml

open with notepad and change this line -

change false to true .... the other buttons are there in Input.xml

Hi.

I honestly would not know where to start. I literally had another life when I posed this.

The instructions are on my post though.
It walks you through which folder to open, and what to do,

Go to :

my docs/ArcaniA - Gothic 4/InputSettings.xml

open with notepad and change this line -

change false to true .... the other buttons are there in Input.xml

This should get you working with inverting y.

That sorts most of the combat but i do still need to use the mouse to sort out inventory etc

I didnt remember that, but Its an old game.
At least we can use pad with it.

Here is something that worked for me, found on a German site:

- Go to Documents/ArcaniA - Gothic 4 and open Input.xml with the Editor
- scroll all the way down and insert the code below just before the last line (last line should be </Inputs>):

<Input command="cheat menu" >
<Key name="F2"/>
<Activation type="first active" />
</Input>

- In the game you can now press F2 to open the console. There should be an option to switch between Xbox and PC interface near the top; set it to Xbox and close the console with Esc
- Done! But beware: You have to switch to the Xbox-Setting every time you start the game. Also, going to Options in this mode crashes the game; however, saving and quitting to the main menu work fine.
