Family Reputation: How do you get it?
Im on a game with an IA with 88 family reputation and i have 0. I did quests for the guild (Patron quest, giving him Alderman beer, etc), i have better political position than him and im still at 0 points... Wars are not coming up since loooooong ago so i can join to get imperial fame neither.

What im doing wrong? :( Can't get a better title cause i need 1 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ point. Got 3 character at level 10, all my buildings at level 3 and im stuck here waiting to get a single point of reputation. He win every single Alderman election and im getting bored of this.

Buy war materials.
Can't buy war material cause im not known enough.
Could you share a screenshot of the numbers when you check your own reputation?
Most people strugle with imperial fame. The way to get imperial fame is by getting a high family reputation. The post underneath this explains both. Good luck!
Ive explained this many times in the past since many people strungle with it. Ive copied this from an old post on steam that currently doesnt exist anymore (ive copied it from my posts-history. In here i explained how to get your family reputation high enough to become guild elder (incase you wonder). Good luck!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let me explain step by step:

1: click your character, click the botton ''open inventory'' at the bottem of the screen, click reputation. Now look at the number behind ''fame within the family''. Remember that number
2: wait till its 12:00 (noon) and look at the message u get. Someone will be named alderman (aka guild elder). This person will also have a number behind ''fame within the family''. This numer will be (much) higher then yours.
3. Now you have to make sure that your fame within the family becomes higher then the one of the alderman asap. There are several ways to do it, some more efficient then others.

A: Become master of your guild in your town (this means you have the most (highest valued) buildings of your class in the town you live in. Unfortunately it will only give 1 point per year (2 if you have got the seal from your hut/house/gablehouse, it has to be level 4 before you can take the seal).

B: Deliver goods to your ''guildhall'
Each year there are a few messages poppin up that a city needs several items of some kind. Its churchbells for tradesman, almaniacs for scholars, poisened daggers for rogues and alderman brew for patrons. You can buy the receipe at the guild hall of your town (for your class), dont confuse this with the townhall/council palace) and produce it at the correct building for your trade. WHen buying the recipe it says what you need to produce it.When those messages pop up that a city needs it, deliver the item after you crafted it from the receipe. For each item you sell you gain 3 or 4 rep.

C: Do guild contracts. Same as with B (delivering goods) the guild hall somtimes also asks for someone to do a certain job (contract). THis means if you send your character to the correct guildhall, there is a option that you can accept that contract. It will take your character of your screen for like 9-12 hours, depends on the contract and when he/she comes back you gain like 5-10 rep.

Option B is the easiest way i think because each year there will be a demand for a certain good and they ask for 2-5 items per time. Which means 3-15 or 4-20 rep every time you suply what they ask. (depends on the seal again if you have it or not if its 3 or 4 per item ).

I hope that explains it all.

First of all, sorry for my broken english :P.

I did read that text before, but being a guild leader, doing contracts and delivering goods on 4.20 doesn't seem to give you Imperial Fame. How do i know this? On my last game:

- Got a Patron and a Craftman +10 turn of both being leaders and got 0 Imperial/Family fame
- Around 8 church bells and 11 alderman brew and got 0 Imperial/Family fame. And this was a royal pain in the arse because for some stupid reason you need to buy the recipe every time.
- With the craftman they send me to rome on a contract one time and got 0 Imperial/Family fame from that.

Found 3 ways to get Imperial/Family fame

A) Going to war or sending soldiers. I find this a crucial moment on early game because in 20+ turns in my last 5 games (that give you 5 Imperial/Family fame) got only 1 war per game. Trying to get the max amount of money to send at least 5 soldiers its a must. Going to war on 4.20 its bugged so yeah.. ♥♥♥♥ that :P

B) Buying War Material, you need imperial fame, not sure how much but its more than 2 and equal or minus than 5. To get war material you need to be Nobleman and you need at least 1 imperial fame to get there. So, point A is crucial to do this. Its kinda useless unless you go to war. You get 1 Imperial/Family fame per item. Don't remember if buying cannon give you more (50k gold)

C) Getting elected as Sovereign or better, you need to be patrician to do this (Nobleman goes after this). Every time you get selected you get 1 Imperial/Family fame.

So yeah, the first war decide if you gonna get fame or not until you can get to sovereign... Kinda suck to be honest.

I think its both of our english then that isnt perfect that cause the miscummunication.

You have to raise your family reputation further to become guild elder and get 1 imperial fame per year!!

In short:
The only way to get imperial fame without going to war is by becoming GUILD ELDER.
This is something different then GUILD MASTER.
IF YOU HAVE THE HIGHEST FAMILY REPUTATION YOU WILL BE ALLECTED GUILD ELDER AND GAIN 1 IMPERIAL REP PER YEAR (sometimes just not the first year).

On the topic above i explained how to become guild elder! You have to get a higher family reputation then the current guild elder to become it and there are several ways to do that (see option A, B and C).

The message you get at 12:00 about the alderman allection/guild elder will show you what reputation you have to beat to become the new guild elder!

I did the war thing and it work fine, get this patch for your game and it will fix that bug: http://forum.nordicgames.at/attachment.php?attachmentid=47700&d=1280978282 I did it, hired a ton of troops and got 90 imperial fame.
yeah, war works fine. The problem for most people is that there is only 1 war which is like 2 years after you start, when you are still poor.
There is one hard way that I know of and have used in the past 2 games. You send your child to the noble's school, and then to the King's court. That will give that child 1 imperial fame, which is enough to buy a title or apply for the highest offices. Once there, it's easier to game more fame, but it's that first 1 point that is the hardest without war.
Are you sure that works? I mean, dont you need to be nobleman to send your child there? And to be allowed to get that tittle you need 1 imp fame?
