Best maps?
So, which maps do you prefer or have found with less bugs, i liked The Hanza, but there is a bug in Danzig where you cannot build on one section of the town and that really killed it for me.

I started in Danzig too but I didn't notice that bug... maybe it was a different version of the map. I eventually moved most of my operations to Hamburg since it's a bigger city though.

I think i should add that i am playing in the 4.20 patch. the previews patch did not have that issue.

can you please upload the bugged part? on the other hand: remember that the Hansa Map is one of the smallest maps (much less building areas, etc.) and not made for Renaissance ;)

I'll upload it later as currently i don't have the game handy.

But i wanted to ask you, considering you think The Hanza is too small, which do you think is a better map choice?

ok, here's the area in which you can't build, it has some buildings because those are premade by default on the map. Again, i should make clear that this is in The Hansa, in patch 4.20.

Castrum Novaesium is the (at the moment) largest map in the game. The largest seamap in-game is Fichtenhain^^ both of them contain more as twice building space as The Hansa^^

I haven't tried Fichtenhain yet. I'll give it a shot.

I was able to build on the Hanza map fine, the biggest issue for me was that pathfinding would become bugged for ships. There would be spots where ships just stop and then it takes a lot of effort to try and move those ships out of those "dead zones", it pretty much ends fishing and sea trade. That's the only reason I play on other maps now.

For some reason fichtenhain isn't showing up for me :?

So, tried Fichtenhain, but the pathfinding is very buggy and hilarious as people will do very idiotic things to reach places, which is a shame, because i really liked the layout of that map, i like maps with three towns rather than four the most.

Look for Sprucehain and environment. Fichtenhain is a city inside that map.

Lyon Macon and Belley map is my favorite. Ive tried several maps, but I keep coming back to this one. I dont like the really huge maps with great distances between towns and huge uninhabited tree areas. Makes it a real pain when you miss your council meetings because you were busy in another town trading or something.

This Lyon map seems to be just about the right size area, and can have 16 maximum dynasties. Plus it doesnt start with any teir 3 buildings at all, and several unclaimed resources. I dont like those maps that start with imperial level cities and all 3rd teir buildings in existence with all resource markets taken.
