Bribery and blackmail are your only options, You can also campaing for the office by using money to force out your oppenets. Murder and blackmail should be your last option and cetrtinly not for poltics. Black mail could backfire horribly. You could find yourself in a feud if you aren't careful. Also if one person witneses the mruder than you will most likely be excuted o spend the rest of your life in the dungon. Still campagining is diffcult and takes a lot of manuplation and paitance using money and influance. Also make sure to use the allance option in your home. If you have any questions please ask.

Give them cake... Serously, giving them gift often, using perfume, all that kind of stuff help to keep relationship good and alliance. If you are able to keep that, they will vote for you, but family is always first. So try each day to give a gift to one of the familly you want to increase relationship, it count for the whole familly.

perfume is only temerorpary. Gifts can backfire even worse than blackmail or threats. I have had fueds start over gifts. Personally I use bribery to build allies and the legal system to get rid of my opponets. All you need is three proofs with a streangth of five or above and then you take them to court. However they cannot be in an office where they have immunity. In that case blackmail won't work and threats will just start a feud. In that case you could just infulance those around him and him or her voted out and then you can press charges against him or her. However there are clothing items you can use which have more benift than perfum and last longer.

In The Guild 2 you could also wear items like jewelry or clothes that increased your reputation with everyone who came near you. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work for me in The Guild 2: Renaissance. Has anyone else had success using jewelry and clothes in this version of the game?

Works fine here.

The Steam version is not final though, and it's riddled with bugs. Make sure you download the latest McCoy! Modpack - IT'S A MUST
(it fixes most of the bugs and adds new content)

I tried installing the Modpack, but I can't tell if it was successful. The setup just seems to install itself (or nothing). Am I supposed to select a specific folder? When I start the game the opening screen says version 4.17b BETA, but I don't remember if it said that before or not. How can I tell if it worked?
