Easiest gameplay.
Maybe i stand alone on this one, but i have good exeperience, by playing Scholar.

Every time i play i do this :

Choose a scholar. Open upthe game called Castrum Novaesium. Choose Colonia. Buy catholic church. Set it to AI but make sure it only operates sales manualy. Buy wheat flour and pine planks. And let the priests do the rest. Go out, get married, and get your first child so you dynasty wont die.
From now on your church will quicly generate af little money.

BUT !!! Take a trading cart to Bonn. And buy silk, china and spices. Drive back to Colonia and sell it. You will gain a lot of gold by doing this. And the best part is, that you can do it again after an hour, and there are no Rouges robbing you on that road.

So after about 2 hours, you should be the proud owner of 3-4 buisnesses, a grant house, a wife, 2-3 children and about 30.000-50.000 gold to spent as you wish.

I like scholar so far, didn't try your suggestion though. After being a noob at this and several hours of gameplay later I own 4 business, am nearly dirt poor (keep buying titles), have a kid which I wish I did earlier, and trying to apply for office, but I think it's bugged.

I really enjoy buying businesses though.

Titles have very little value by my experience, well you get to own more businesses and get a few perks, by on the counsel, it means nearly nothing. Only bribery, poems and perfume works for me.

Remember the Bonn Counting house, and if you want a better chance for Cologne to become the capital, sell the goods from Bonn there.

I startet a new game this evening, and by 2 hours i had 1 catholic church, 1 hospital, 1 Orchard, 1 Baker, 1 Public house, 1 store house, 1 Inventors laboratory, and 3 Patricians Houses. But only poorly 100.000 gold.

Good luck to you all :)

I have a church, four money printers and a bank,
Manufacturng certficates and have about 170K second generation.
Lots of micro management requried, also have woodcutter abd alchemist for paint.
Any tips on getting up the council would be great. Getting to bishop is easy. Aftertaht, its as if they bribe the mayor more then my 20K sigh, What does immunity mean in the game? About to manufacture plate armour and buy all the mines...

Getting up the counsel can be easy enough, but most of the time it isen't.

Usually i where perfume during every counsel meeting. And using Poems are quite effective as well, not just in the counsel meeting, but on the spouses to. Or children.
When you do not have counsel meeting, visit the counsel members, and read them Poems, either you or your spouse, depending on what genter you want favours with.
You can praise them in church to if you want, but this does very little.

If the counsel member are to expensive to bribe, try there spouse. If they like you, the spouse does to :)

Immunity is for higher office seats, it basicaly makes you incabable of being charged with anything, so you cant be Trialed.

If you need more money, try looking for a Counting House, and by certain goods there at a favourble price, and selling them in your own city.
Silk, spice, wine and amber - are quite nice, and will get you loads of money, just dont sell it in a store house. ( The store house will only sell any goods you put in it for its base price, not what the city is willing to pay)

ive found the easiest gameplay as a patron, i hardly play anything other than that (although there is a technical workaround for getting unlimited cash witha rogue)

you start a farm get max workers and carts for level one set it to auto (may have to sell the produce yourself they like to not always automate that) but you are looking at roughly 10,000+ in an hour (i actually have a lets play up on youtube only first episode is released atm my YT name is the same as on steam if you want to see what i do). but once you get a farm at full production and then get a public house set up after getting both buildings maxed (level three max workers and 4 ox carts) you could be looking at anywhere from 25,000-50,000+ an hour if you are productive and have everything being operated via AI. not to mention most of the money of the farm is slowed during the winter however the tavern picks up what the farm cannot.

and also there is a work around with the rogue making a tavern then betting on dice save your game before each match and you can make well over 100,000 an hour if you are lucky. assuming you dont lose at all, i have seen someone make it to 1,000,000 in less than 2 hours which is far from bad, after you have that much i mean just marry a patron then after you guys die have an adopted child (random skill try for something that your blood child doesnt have if possible) and then you can have every type of building under your familys belt
