Can't play local multiplayer
Hello everyone, me and my friend are trying to play The Guild 2 Renaissance via Hamachi, but neither I nor he can find any server. I tried to find something on the Internet that could help us, but everything I found did not help us at all, so maybe someone here can help us

I'm not exactly sure what your issue is, so I'll go over the steps you need to take and hopefully you can diagnose your own issue.

First the host needs to select "Multiplayer," then "Local Network," and finally "Ok."

Then the host needs to select "Start game" and select all of the options you want to play with, and hit "Continue." The host should now be in a lobby screen.

Once the host has the lobby open, the second play can do the first step like the host did, and after a few seconds in the lobby select screen, a server called "Testing server" should appear, which the second play can then join.

After that, the host should be able to hit start game, and everything should go fine.

If those steps do not work for you, then there is something wrong with your Hamachi connection (likely something like the host forgetting to hit the on button).

Well that's what we are doing, Hamachi seems to not be the cause of problem because we used it in many games before and everything works fine.

I just remembered the last time we tried playing Postal 2 via Hamachi, my friend couldn't join to my looby so I better trying a different game that works before and see what happened.

It is possible that an old game such as this is using the wrong internet adapter to detect what is on your LAN (or in this case your VLAN - since you're using Hamachi).

If that is indeed the case:
1 - go to the Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Connections
2 - select your Hamachi adapter
3 - click on Properties > Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
4 - in the General tab, click on Advanced... on the lower right corner of the menu
5 - uncheck Automatic metric at the bottom
6 - type in "1" in the Interface metric
7 - click on OK/Apply for all the menus you've opened up to this point

Afaik this works on all the older games for me, if they are not able to detect my friend and I on the same LAN even if we're on it, so I wish you luck and hope that this may be able to help you.
