ROGUE creating a poison dagger
This is probably the most searched for and not adequately explained action in this game. It is necessary for the Rogue Guild missions which provide imperial reputation.

First off, go to the guild house and talk to the Rogue Guild Elder. Buy the recipe for poison dagger.

It tells you it requires 1 silver, 1 tool, and 1 dagger. You also need the recipe in possession of your character.

I use the storeroom at the pub, but any rogue storeroom will do. Buy and place the ingredients in stock. (You will want to set 'manage building' to Player as the AI will shift them to sales stock)

With the recipe, which is called a Tradition, on your person, enter the building.

Here's the part people have a hard time figuring out.

DON'T go in the storeroom, just go to a quiet corner.

Look at your action bar. You will see the recipe there. Click on it and it will ask you if you want to make a poison dagger. just click yes.

The lower your Stealth the longer you will have to wait for it to finish. The difference in time is not that great, so if you don't otherwise use stealth, don't worry about it.

The dagger will go directly into your player's inventory.

You will need a new recipe for each dagger. Use the daggers to complete the guild missions which usually will pay more than 1000 gp per dagger. So you do make a little money off it, but basically you are doing this for imperial reputation points which will be necessary to advance to Nobleman, gain higher office, or buy war materials from the Arsenal.

A little clarification on imperial reputation.

Items for guilds, as well as fulfilling contracts gets you guild reputation, value of properties in the town you live, get you made guild master (guild member with highest property value in town), which also gets family rep along with guild rep.

Having the highest guild + family rep gets you elected Alderman of the guilds, which gives you imperial rep points (1 for each year you are elected Alderman) which allows you to progress to nobleman. (80,000 gp at the city hall.)
