The Guild II: Renaissance

The Guild II: Renaissance

Multiplayer: How to get it to work in 2020
I've heard multiplayer still works with lan on this game, however Evolve and Tunngle, btoh apparently the ebst ways to play have been shut down.
Me and my friends have tried using Hamachi but we dont show up in the list for each other when we do so.
Ive seen you can play guild 2 (and pirates) on game ranger but not Renaissance, is there a way to get that to work for Renaissance?

Any help for any way to get it to work will be appreciated thank you :)

Strange, I've played over a hundred hours of MP and haven't ever had an issue with Hamachi. In the multiplayer menu, did you select "Internet" or "Local Network"?

i selected Local network because you have to make an account for Internet and ive heard it doesnt work

Local network is the correct choice; just wanted to make sure.

Have you tried having the host make the server before the client enters the server browser menu? The server won't appear if the client is already in the server browser before it is created.

Additionally, have you tried using Hamachi with a different game to make sure it works?

I know you've been trying Hamachi, but I've been using ZeroTier and it works flawlessly for me, just putting it out here as a suggestion.

How to use Zerotier? Is it free? Sorry, I've never done multiplayer before but would love to try it.

You can download zerotier at https://www.zerotier.com/download/ , and create an account at https://my.zerotier.com/login to make your own network (or manage it).

Your friends simply join the network via the network id as shown in screenshot here https://f.misakamikoto.faith/f/c73143d1_ss_2020-04-07_02-44-10.png

Ensure that you're connected in "Private Network" (it'll ask if you want to treat network as private or public), and you can all find each other on LAN games, not just TG2

I recommend Radmin VPN. Is like Hamachi but without registering.
