The Guild II: Renaissance

Only 3 family members allowed in the group?
Hi everyone, I am wondering how you are supposed to manage a family of more than 3 characters? It seems if you remove a family member from the group then you can't add them back again, so how do you control what the other people in your family do without losing control of your main character?

In Vanilla you can´t control more than 3 members the rest are still on your rooster as backup but they are pretty much doing whatever they feel like . (still nice having theme as backup thou for when you loose some in your group of 3 to age murder or trial or simply for strategy reasons one to shift )
Pretty sure I ran into to a mod at some point there allowed you to re add charathers you have removed once and I think that there also exists one that allow you to give theme some kind of orders or commands but you will have to wait around for someone else to answer for they name of theme if you are interested I don´t really remember as I have no real interest in those kind of mods

Hey, thanks for the reply. That's a shame, I'm sorry to hear that. I was hoping I would be able to employ family members in the businesses I already have or something like that. Oh well!

The AI can do it, but players cant. Best to get family members with different professions and then they can work in those places. But they just cant work together in the same place.

In case you are interested. this mod makes the game more interesting:

If you select a character you have the option to manage it, removing it from the active members, then select another and add it. This can be done as many times as you like with any member

You can make a member as owner of a business and he/she will be able to work, provided is the corresponding profession.

Can you have more than 3 members in the group?

No. Still limited to 3 active. However, you can change active members anytime you want to.

In vanilla, removed members can not be added again.

That's not accurate though.

I'll have to get a game up to where I have 4 again, (All my games since the new hard drive eventually corrupt, damn losing the old one :( ... BUT it IS possible to remove someone from the active group and re add them. I think it is on the family tree, not the one on the bottom right where "It's too late"

I had Craftsman married to a Scholar with Rouge daughter and Patron son. I was able to switch between the children to get them into office. It's nice because they will always vote for you vs anyone else running against you.
