Had same error, I just closed it and ran the game again and there was no problem.

You too huh.. Hmm, nothing weird about that..:lunar2019shockedpig: As it turned out, my son recognised this problem and I don't know what he did but I was then able to play it.. I didn't know what to say in Steam Support, if there was a genuine 'crack' in the game, I wasn't asking for money back, I genuinely thought I needed a CD Key like in the old days (I'm 51 - still connected to old school ways lol) Thank you Some Taffer.. I didn't know it was THAT easy to fix, seriously.. And thanks for your response :lunar2019grinningpig:

got the same problem, the digital age was meant to abolish CD Keys, seems odd this pops up for this digital game.

Apparently, according to my son, close Steam, restart Steam and try loading game again.. I'll check with him asap if that doesn't work for you. Let me know okay

I have the same problem after installing the game and the first run.
I close the game and start again, and it works perfect! :steamhappy:

I'm having this problem too. I tried restarting Steam once and nothing changed but I suppose I'll try again

Thanks for the advice, worked.

Never had to do this before.

Normally if a game on Steam requires a CD key, they provide you one to plug in via the Steam Library page or in the games doc files, but it's not something I've had to deal with before on Chaser.

Go to the main directory of chaser, right click Chaser.exe, properties, compability, compability with Windows XP (Pack2), Launch as admin. Worked for me.

Not only did this solve the license key request upon launching issue for me, it also fixed the introductory videos that stopped working with Windows 10. Thank you!

I know that most folks don't care about those intros and even switch them off if there is a way to, but I still like seeing them for some stupid reason.
