The God Mode Substituion

To my fellow cheaters,

I regret to say that the steam release of Chaser does not have a God Mode code. I feel for you, as I would have loved to be able to just blaze through the level and never have to worry about taking damage at all. But there is a substituion that, while not exactly like God Mode, is close enough for my money. First, you need to enable the console. To do this, right click Chaser in your steam library, and click properties. Click on "Set Launch Options" and type "-console" without the quotes. That should enable the console in game.

While in game, bring up the console with the tilde key. There are codes to give you any amount of health and armor that you want. And even better, you can bind them to keys of your choice. I used 1 for health and 2 for armor. To do this, type these out in the console.

\bind (key) "\cht_health (desired amount)"
\bind (key) "\cht_ armor (desired amount)"

If the text is yellow when you hit enter, you're good to go. I reccomend super high numbers, I used 99999.

Now, there are some drawbacks to this. First off, collecting health or getting shot will reset your health to 100. Collecting armor will revert your armor back to 100 as well, but getting shot will not. And since your armor is so high, it'll take a long time for your enemies to chip away from your health, and even if they do, you can heal quick with the press of a button.

I'd like to add that on some levels, I don't know why, saves are corrupted, and you respawn without access to any weapons.

Odd, I never experienced this.

Does not work with armor, as it just goes to 0. Works with health.
