The Guild II

Which one to play?
I have all three parts of The Guild 2 on Steam (vanilla, Pirates and Renaissance), which one is the best to install when I haven't played this one yet? (Though I have played Europa 1400: The Guild) Are there any differences? Is there contained everything in the latest one (together with updates) or do I have to install all three of them and run them separately? What are the differences?

Same question here

My question as well. I don't want this to end up like when I bought the Mount & Blade collection and found there was no way I had the free time to fully exhaust ONE of them, let alone the whole series.

So I'd rather just pick the best game this time and be done with it. Which one is it?
Reniassance has the most content iirc.

and are there all features in Renaissance (like classes and maps) or is something exclusive to original The Guild 2 and Pirates?

ok, so I checked it out and it seems that renaissance is the latest version of the game that has all the maps and buildings/careers but it doesn't have tutorial nor campaign. Pirates is gold version of the game featuring original The Guild 2 in it and it has campaign and tutorial but missing some buildings a improvement that are in Renaissance. The Guild 2 is original vanilla version of the game and it is outdated.

So if you want to play tutorial or campaign then play Pirates first. But after that I recommend playing only Renaissance cause it has all the updates in it.

Now I'm confused.I just got this game and I thought it was like most other games that when you get dlc it is incorporated in the main game. Are these dlc or stand alone games?

So, you posted here then researched? Also, what is shorter about an asinine word like "vanilla" as opposed to base-game?

Oh please.. Vanilla is a well known term. It is not just used for base games but also for mod-able games played un-modded
