any way to enable the cheats for the steam version of this game?

go to
???\steamapps\common\AquaNox 2 Revelation

and rename
AquaNox 2 Revelation.exe

to
AquaNox 2 Revelation -drake -strega -amitab -fuzzyhead -mice.exe

at first i got a notification and steam did an update, the result is that there a now both, the "AquaNox 2 Revelation.exe" and the "AquaNox 2 Revelation -drake -strega -amitab -fuzzyhead -mice.exe" at the explorer location.
Netherless the cheats (like F7 for indestructible) now work, even if I start it directly from steam, restart the game or restart steam.
