Encountered this error when I ajusted video settings (1920*1080 etc). Then I launched the game again, said "No" to restoring settings and the game was launched fine with new settings :). Win7X64, Radeon HD7970.

I have the same Issue only that I didn't even get to change anything, the message pops up right after the start. Any help pls

762 is a general directx catchall error. to those with D3D Error 762, try running the game as administrator. Delete the .ini files in The AquaNox directory and the steam_config_*.txt files, to have the game re-create a fresh config at 640x480. Reinstallation of video drivers and directx might be in order, but this is more likely a permission problem. For additional troubleshooting, always check the error log in %Appdata%\AquaNox (type windows key + r) followed by %Appdata%\aquanox to open this directory.
