Report a translation problem
Well the highest resolution I run this game is a native setting 1920 X 1080, which is , normal HD. And it ran for over a year on this machine, then suddenly, POOF! Nothing, but no, I do NOT play it higher than native HD resolution, even if I wanted to SET it to a lower resolution, you can't unless the game actually launches first!!
I'm having the same problem. Just wanted to check in on my old friend AO after a few years.

hmm..maybe the installation directory needs to be on C, I'll try it, and get back.
EDIT-Run it in windowed/borderless, the character selection is probably just offscreen.
