Farm a handful of missions, shouldnt be too hard to have the credits to deck out a toon with shop implants.
Granted it's been like 15 years since I played full vanilla RK, but I don't remember it being that bad.
As to Funcom tracking credits, you know the superrich players back in the day, like whats-his-name with the cross-server credit transfer "business" made his billions legit, right? They actually did check, and they check on a lot of the ancient veterans. Dedicated players can make utter assloads from both shopfood and blitzing choice nanos to sell to others. Blind tracking of credits would end up just like Fallout 76 - mistakenly banning their most dedicated players via a hypersensitive, broken automated system.
If you want shopfood money, do blood plasma and other higher value items.
If you want money from other players, roll a fixer and blitz. At level 10 you can blitz concrete cushions non-stop, I'm sure there is a market for them on the fresh start.
I mean, from the perspective of someone who player AO for 7-8 years in total on and off, from launch onwards and never used exploits, yes the first billion is the hardest, and it is a grind, but it's doable in purr vanilla gameplay with some intelligence.
WHY did anyone think Multiboxing wasnt going to be a thing? If you have 6 active accounts on the main server, guess what you have on this new server too!
You know the difference between the new server and the old one, the old one didnt START with all the exploits and multiboxers, you had a chance to get stuff before they showed up.
as for having a toon in level 30 imps.... yeah likely NOT an exploit, roll an engie, get some mp buffs, roll max level hard mish's mostly afk for about 2-3 hours and you'll have ALL the loot and money you'd need.
I mean, that's been AO since after the first year or two. As soon as people figured out OSBs and the metagame to any degree, you did what you could to earn what you could.
Even then though, you don't need to do that - play normal for 2-3 hours and you can grind up enough for ql30s. We did it back in the day - with a few friends as shown in the video, you can smash missions quickfast, get a ton of shopfood and credit drops, and be all set in a few hours.
I mean, I get it - I was a bit more hopeful that they'd pay a bit more attention to a fresh start server. I wanted removal of stuff like the Subway OFAB weapons - force a more natural progression instead of giving a very high-grade weapon for basically no work.
I agree that multiboxing should be policed to a greater extent, from a player perspective it can ruin a lot of stuff.
As to duping, yes that should have been priority A1 to patch out. At this point, I'm guessing the glitch is so deep in AO's spaghetti that it's impossible or unfeasible to patch out.
It sucks, but at this point, it is what it is. The best we can hope for is to adventure around RK and have some fun with friends.
