Is there any other game that is LIKE Anarchy Online

Not just a science fiction MMO but also the scope of the game, the class dynamics, the gear system, the faction pvp raiding, the dungeons, all of it. I really can only compare it to vanilla WoW, and that's a stretch. The twinking system is one of a kind, the value of the items is more than anything except maybe Diablo 2 ebay items from the old days.

I really just miss this game, there's a guy remaking it in a new engine on twitter so I'm excited for that, @gridgames_HQ I believe. Anyone play anything even remotely similar to AO?

Buy once play forever, i originally bought it on sale for $5, it doesnt have the sci-fi or aliens like AO but its much prettier.

It also has about a million more things to do than AO. They've bought out new content and classes in the last year and they always have events with free stuff going.

i wouldn't bother with black desert online and i don't count it scifi based like ao is nor the skill set and lvling system anywhere close or related to ao.

If only they would bring out AO 2.0 in todays standards, the improved ao they have is still extremely dated. I'm also over subscription based games.

AO could easily be a private server game but the population is small enough to where everyone would have to move. I think programming a game to be like it is best.

Btw.. there is no Schifi MMO like AO out there. I started playing in 2003 on DNW. I always searched fo a simmiliar game but they do not thave this vibe and feeling. Every entrance/building/ruin/cave an becom a quest location. You can fly north for a long time and will finaly be on your starting place again. Not so much card borders. I playeyd SWTOR for a while but its different compared to this game. Its nice but doesn´t have this feeling. It was soo great when i firstz saw this giant space ship from the aliens flying over our city...
From time to tome i am dropping by, dust of my old MP and fly a bit around :D Killing some mobs, doing fun stuff. Still have these black dress on my bank n other funny stuff

Eve Online <= complex and rich gameplay
Warframe <= lots of playable and customisable "classes"
Xenoblade Chronicles X (with CEMU , a Wii U emulator on PC) <= it gives me a good shadowlands vibe.
