I just made a 2nd account for xfering stuff and i had no trouble. I've got like 3 AO accs on the same email and everything is fine.
I did have to do the login at the AO toon selection screen.

They'll probably help you.
Correct, and that account name and passwrod is what you use to login to AO. If you were, or still are, an Age of Conan player your AO username and password will be the same. For me, because I'm also a Secret World player, my AO username and password are the same as my TSW login. It's one unified login for all of the Funcom MMOs.
Where it can get confusing, is if you were a player of another funcom game prior to AO. Any password change request may direct you to that games webpage. For example, any password change request I make direct me to the TSW account page.
Agreed about how it can feel limiting and i'll add confusing. Whatever specific game page you're being taken to -based on your earlier comments I'm guessing that's Age of Conan's- whatever password you set, will also be your new password for your Anarchy Online login. As well, the username for that other funcom game will be the same one you use for AO.
Go to funcom.com->my account->anarchy online account.Login and there is a change my password menu point which you can't miss.
I also didnt get a response from my ticket yet. Guess it will be awhile yet, if ever, before I play.
For example, I started up playing The Secret World some years back when I was living in the United States, and then I moved to Asia and couldn't play the game anymore because the game doesn't allow people playing from certain countries or regions.
I also forgot my password and couldn't reset it until I put my VPN back in the United States and I was able to login without any problems. I remember talking to Funcom about this years ago when I first moved to Asia (as I could play the game without any problems for a few months) but then encountered a login problem, and they told me they recently changed their policies to restrict certain IPs from accessing their servers.
