Anarchy Online

Anarchy Online

I cant create an account or login
I created an account after installing it, it told me the account was made have fun playing AO, I login and type the password, says the password is wrong. I go to their support page, request password change but... It doesnt send a new password. I realize the account I made might be... bugged or something, because I already had a funcom account from Age of Conan years ago. I try using that account name, but still doesnt work.

So... how do I get this game to work??

Always write down the username and password, i have a book on my desk i use. Make sure u have capitals and lowercase or/and numbers correctly, also make sure capslock wasnt on when u made the password.

I just made a 2nd account for xfering stuff and i had no trouble. I've got like 3 AO accs on the same email and everything is fine.

Thank you, I'm sure that advice will be very helpful to the great grand parents who might read it.

Did you login at the Funcom accounts webpage? I remember having an issue like yours with Funcom's Secret World client. With that isntall, for some reason I wasn't able to access that webpage & consequently TSW client wouldn't accept my account name & password. Meanwhile for the AO beta client, I didn't even have to do that login as Fucom has 1 unified account per customer and the AO client recognized that & used the existing.

I did have to do the login at the AO toon selection screen.

So it IS one unified acount then? Well thats good, because I can login to funcom and have my password reset. Still not sure why it isnt working though. I sent a ticket but Im still waiting on it.

Ok Im getting so confused I just dont care anymore. I can request a password change, but it only changes my ACCOUNT password, not my game password, it specifically says that. It says "to change your game password login to the Registration page" when I click on the registration link, it takes me to Age of Conan's game page, the one where i need to type in my game account and password, that thing I dont know and or reset possibly. In fact, I cant find a place anywhere on the terrible funcom webpage to login/logoff, check my account information, password ect. This is really bizarr to me.

acc password and game password r the same thing

Well I've changed my password, and cant use the one they send me through email to login still on any game. Guess I'll chalk it up as a loss.

Or you just write a ticket to customer support.
They'll probably help you.
acesahn 20. März 2017 um 7:45
Way ahead of you on that one. Ill let the channel know if it gets resolved in case it turns out to be helpful to anyone, like I did something specifically wrong.

Correct, and that account name and passwrod is what you use to login to AO. If you were, or still are, an Age of Conan player your AO username and password will be the same. For me, because I'm also a Secret World player, my AO username and password are the same as my TSW login. It's one unified login for all of the Funcom MMOs.

Where it can get confusing, is if you were a player of another funcom game prior to AO. Any password change request may direct you to that games webpage. For example, any password change request I make direct me to the TSW account page.

I cant even find out where to manually change my password on the funcom sight! It seems I only have the option to go to a specific game homepage. So my password has been the password change ones I get, so something I have to copy and paste. I wish they had a better webpage, it feels... not dated, but oddly limited.

Agreed about how it can feel limiting and i'll add confusing. Whatever specific game page you're being taken to -based on your earlier comments I'm guessing that's Age of Conan's- whatever password you set, will also be your new password for your Anarchy Online login. As well, the username for that other funcom game will be the same one you use for AO.

I can see a change password function when i log in on the funcom page under my ao account.
Go to funcom.com->my account->anarchy online account.Login and there is a change my password menu point which you can't miss.

Yea I can change my password, but when I enter the password I get sent I cant login XD
I also didnt get a response from my ticket yet. Guess it will be awhile yet, if ever, before I play.
I had the same problem as you, acesahn. I know this may be a strange question, but are you trying to play the game in a region that is unsupported by Funcom?

For example, I started up playing The Secret World some years back when I was living in the United States, and then I moved to Asia and couldn't play the game anymore because the game doesn't allow people playing from certain countries or regions.

I also forgot my password and couldn't reset it until I put my VPN back in the United States and I was able to login without any problems. I remember talking to Funcom about this years ago when I first moved to Asia (as I could play the game without any problems for a few months) but then encountered a login problem, and they told me they recently changed their policies to restrict certain IPs from accessing their servers.
