Devs, it's perfectly fine to be inspired by the The Little Prince and want to do some kind of homage in VR. However, this is a ripoff so blatant that it is insulting (and, I do believe, illegal). If you did not get the rights to do an actual Little Prince movie, then please just respect that. If you want to do an homage, then please be original AND acknowledge where your inspiration came from. Right now you are pissing on Saint-Exuperys grave.
To be fair it was a book first. What country is the dev in? It may be public domain there but I still think it's a little shady to not mention the obvious inspiration even if it is.
^ Shouldn't this be in public domain? Even so it seems so heavily "inspired" by it that if they couldn't afford the rights, maybe change things around about? they prince is a replica of the one on the book cover with a sprinkling of the one from the anime adaptation (from 1983 with the theme song linked in the OP) I mean... really? REALLY?
Depends on the country. The US, France, and I think the UK have slightly stricter copyright laws.
I wish there was an international standard. Would make things much simpler.
a blackhole of cooking the books.....
