Cheers though i have played those all before!

Think i was more looking for a TBS with a grand campaign as i've been a big fan of panzercorps, 40k armageddon and things like advanced wars

There is gears Tactics, but you dont have control of where you go on the map, Phoenix Point, Shadow Tactics, Red Solstice, lots of cyberpunk and westerns in both RTS free move until battle and turn based movements. Tanks, Panzer Corp and Blitzkrieg are as close as I can think and those are realtime battles.

Oh, and dont forget XCOM 2 War Of The Chosen. It has a horrible launcher which needs replacing for a better experience; especially if you will use workshop. It has some choices and some forced script paths. The learning curve is murderous the first few times you play, but once you figure out your tactic, you will be setting Commander Difficulty and looking for mods to make more difficult, It is extremely replayable and you can use Mechs if not tanks, but there is a tank mod.

think i've played most of those maybe bar phoenix point and gears tactics, how are they? if they're too similar to XCOM i'll probably give them a pass as i'm not the biggest fan of how that plays. more looking forward to xenonaughts 2 while i know it's also an xcom clone the combat predictions and art gels with me more

Gears Tactics is seriously repetitive and monotonous in my opinion. Keep in mind that is as a hard core Total War gamer and modder.

Phoenix Point has much more depth. It is a little simplistic to me, but I like to play when I dont really have to think too much. It is world access going around the globe to choose what you will interact, scanning points to reveal them to meet others or to be assigned missions. I used Modnix as my launcher and used mods to readjust the game to remove parts I did not like and add parts I wanted more. Launcher and mods are at Nexus Mods website. I would recommend searching YouTube and taking a look. It is a game you can add an armed flyer and an armed transport.

Red Solstice 2 has much larger maps, but much less directive information. It also moves in real time.

Waiting on Xenonaughts 2 as well! I dont know about 2K's next game after Xcom is a superhero game. Will likely grab, try, and then decide to keep or refund.

And no offense, farm work outside is calling! back later.

daisenryaku is a good one but would have to emulate it as its for ps2 and original xbox but same gameplay style more freedom and variety definently worth checking out

Shadow Empire if you like hyper detailed 4x games; gives off similar vibes to Shattered Union honestly. Also, Hex Empire 3 is a simple military 4x with destructible environment mechanics similar to SU.
