Any tips of this puzzle in the Grand Library?

I just can't seem to figure out how to get that key...

A good rule of thumb for solving the harder puzzles in this game is to try moving things diagonally (by using the force wand, for example). Sometimes blocks can be stopped and moved in ways you might not expect if you're used to thinking of only vertical and horizontal movement.

That puzzle requires some very convoluted Force Rod/Ice Ring usage. For what it's worth, that one was the hardest puzzle in the game for me.

I gave up and used a lockpick

The specific answer, since it's too late: Place a block to the right of the switch on the left, push the ice block down into it, then place a block to the left of the switch and force-wand push the ice block down/left onto the switch. I believe. The blue squares show you the path the ice block has to take.
