Game locks up at The Mosaic Puzzle
When I place a piece into the puzzle, and then press SPACE the whole computer locks up! (Needs a hard reset). I have copied the save file to two other computers with the same problem. All machines are running Windows 7 (which is NOT included in the supported OS versions), but as the game has played just fine until now I was hoping I could finish it.

Any suggestions?
(It did lock up once before (forget where) and I was able to work around it, but this one has me stumped!)

To continue my original post:
I am playing the original Spellforce, and Spellforce Destiny games also, and neither is having a problem.

I'm having exactly the same issue. I haven't found a work around either. I know that doesn't help, but at least you're not alone.

Do you have the newest patch?
DocTerry Feb 8, 2013 @ 3:46pm
Yes, I have the latest patch available on Steam.

I have the same issue as well; it went to a cut scene where my guy was just staring at the ground and then the game locked up and I had to alt-ctrl-del out of the game. What I did was kinda lame but it worked. Skip the Mosaic quest. It's done that a few times in the cut scenes but worst of all it does it at the very end of the game and there's no avoiding it there. I'm going to try running it under windows xp in compatibility mode to see if that helps.

I've found a workaround for the 8-parts puzzle before the last map (same bug as mosaic).

First of all, save before clicking on the puzzle.

- click on one of the parts of the puzzle
- set the piece you want
- click on the next part of the puzzle
- when you have to choose the piece to set, cancel
- you are back in normal view, move your character so that it has the next part and the one after in the same direction (so that you can see both when it focuses)
- repeat process

It works, but there will be another problem : you basic attack won't work anymore when you click a monster. Your spells are still working. For basic attack, move you character close to monster and let it auto-attack.

Really boring, but you can go to the end of the game this way...

Thanks for the suggestion. But, it seems to me that the cure is worse than the disease. I've uninstalled the game, and considered it fnished; but I do appreciate your trying to help.

Go to the main spellforce 2 site and look for the camera fix.

I made a thread without reading this one but I am having the same prolem is there a fix for this yet same place with the mosaic puzzle camara glitch.
Carl Marsarlis Nov 2, 2013 @ 6:56pm
Nope :( I've continued to search for answers, but no luck so far. Real shame too, it's a pretty good game.

If I find anything I'll post it here.

You can just bypass that quest cant you and continue with the game right? If so ill just do that.

As far as I know the only fix is to use a earlier save from before when you first entered the map. This fixes most of the bugs.

And now I am at the secobnd mosaic puzzle and its a game breaking bug, I cant even bypass this one to continue the game.

I looked around and I found a solution to the mosaic puzzle camera bugs. Just open the console command with CTRL + ] then type UI:CameraTrackEnd() and it will fix it. Its a crappy work around but it works. Only problem is it makes your heros invisible untill you finish the map or back out of the text windows after useing the command.

But the good news is I was able to continue with the game with this.
