It also good in multi, but i dont expect to see many people online.
As weakness... it does not have GREAT animations/cutscenes and such people could be used to from starcraft2 and such. UI and narration looks quite average. But RPG part is fun.
Maybe my standards are high and I'll get to trying another one of the series but this game in particular was like gum that lost its flavor.
= as a person who enjoys sounds and music in games, i would say this has the best so far sound effects compared to other rpg/rts games. archers, love them, sounds so great.
= story is quite interesting, never went into further part of it, cuz in some point it gets linear.
= mechanics arent that hard, very handy ui and fine looking graphics - units look nice for an human eye.
= RPG part.
weaknesses:
= gets linear and repettive after some time.
= voice acts.
= no units voice.
In my opinion this game [Spellforce 2 Gold] is worth buying. If u enjoy RTSs and RPGs, u prob will find this game interesting and time-consuming.
If it doesn't run on "Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8)" you can get your money back- unlike the rest of the downloadable gaming universe. The gog.com version is the most compatible versus steams version which lists the games compatibility as follows "OS: Windows XP/2000/Vista 32 Bit".
I cannot get my steam version to work- but if you get the 2 above titles on gog.com (spellforce 2 gold includes both titles) to work- which you will have 30 days to get your money back if it doesn't- then I think it is worth it. My assertion is based on reviews- of course since I cannot get my unsupported steam version to work; my fault however- window's 7 is only supported on the gog.com version: not steam's version.
